About ZipCodeDex
Ben Williams
Data enthusiast, demographics researcher, and the creator of ZipCodeDex. I've spent years working with Census Bureau data and believe everyone should have easy access to the demographic profile of their community.
Our Mission
ZipCodeDex exists to democratize access to US Census demographic data. The Census Bureau collects incredibly detailed information about every ZIP code in America, but their tools are designed for statisticians, not regular people. We transform raw Census tables into clear, visual, actionable profiles that anyone can understand.
What We Do
We aggregate data from the US Census Bureau's American Community Survey (ACS) 5-year estimates and present it in an intuitive format. Every ZIP code page includes population demographics, income statistics, housing data, education levels, employment figures, and commuting patterns — all with charts and comparisons.
Data Quality
Our data comes directly from the US Census Bureau's official API. We update annually when new ACS 5-year estimates are released. We do not modify or interpolate the data — what you see is what the Census Bureau reports.
Disclaimer: ZipCodeDex is not affiliated with or endorsed by the US Census Bureau. This is an independent educational resource that presents publicly available government data.
